Kids Theatre Academy

Kids Theatre Academy is a youth-focused organisation committed to the belief that every child has the right to play, create, and dream. Using arts and theatre as a medium for self-expression, healing, and personal growth, the Academy works primarily with children from marginalised and previously disadvantaged communities. Through structured training, mentorship, and opportunities to perform in professional theatre spaces, Kids Theatre Academy empowers young people to develop into confident artists and emerging leaders. Their wide-ranging programmes include after-school drama classes, monthly masterclasses, school-based interventions, creative excursions, and hands-on film and media projects. With youth-led productions staged across the Western Cape, the Academy not only showcases artistic talent but also amplifies the unique voices and lived experiences of South Africa’s youth. More than a theatre space, Kids Theatre Academy is a platform for creativity, confidence, and lasting change in young lives.
