2015 has already been a busy year for CHOSA! We continue to collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and community leaders who are dedicated to the well-being of orphaned and vulnerable children through grassroots organizations.

CHOSA has found a new home-base in Cape Town.

As of this week, you can find us at: Unit F7, Sunrise Park, Sunrise Circle, Ndabeni, Cape Town 7405. Telephone: 021-531-1961. We may not yet have enough desks and chairs, but we are still busy at work in our office space and out in our partner communities.

We are pleased to welcome a new individual to the CHOSA team. Ms. Ondela Manjezi has joined CHOSA as a Programs Fellow.ondela

My name is Ondela Manjezi born in Port Elizabeth and raised in Cape Town where I obtained my Bsc
(honours) degree. I am a sister, a daughter, an aunt to the cutest 8 year old, a friend and all round lover of good food and good music.

I believe strongly that it is each generations responsibility to ensure that they leave a generation less burdened. My work with CHOSA extends to community upliftment and building, fundraising, capacity building, after school programme coordination and networking events.

We are also thankful for the support of two new volunteers from the Netherlands, Merel and Anika. They will be volunteering for the next 2-3 months with a focus on capacity-building and after-school programs.

Keep following us for more updates from our work in Cape Town. We look forward to sharing our stories and the voices of community members in the coming weeks!
